It was Thanksgiving Day at Grandma's house. The whole family was there.

Grandma baked a big pumpkin pie. She put the pie by the back door to cool.

"Time for dessert soon!" Grandma called with a smile.

Mia and Leo ran to look at the pie. They loved pumpkin pie best of all.

Oh no! The pie was not by the door. The round pan was gone!

"Where is the pie?" asked Leo. "We must be detectives," said Mia.

Mia saw a clue on the porch. It was a tiny dab of orange pumpkin.

"Look!" Mia pointed to the path. "The orange spots lead to the big oak tree."

Leo saw another clue in the grass. It was a red cloth napkin.

They followed the path to the backyard table. Someone was sitting on the bench.

It was Grandpa! The pie sat safely on the table in front of him.

Grandpa had a little white whipped cream on his nose. "I moved the pie so the dog would not lick it," Grandpa chuckled.

"Did you taste the pie, Grandpa?" asked Leo. Grandpa laughed and winked.

"Just a tiny bite to make sure it was good!" Grandpa said.

Mia and Leo giggled. They brought the sweet pie inside for everyone to share.
