The Story of Anne Frank
Anne Frank was a young girl who lived a long time ago. She was born in Germany. Anne lived with her loving mother, father, and her older sister Margot. Anne was bright, cheerful, and loved to talk to her friends.
When Anne was young, her family had to move to Holland. She went to a new school and made new friends. On her thirteenth birthday, Anne received a special present. It was a small notebook called a diary. Anne gave her diary the name Kitty. She wrote in it every day about her thoughts, feelings, and dreams.
Soon, life became unsafe for Anne's family. They had to go into hiding. They stayed in a secret room behind a heavy wooden bookcase. Anne could not go outside or play in the sun. To stay safe, she had to be very quiet. Writing in her diary helped Anne feel better when she was scared.
Anne wrote that she wanted to be a famous writer. After many years, her father found her diary and turned it into a book. People all around the world read Anne's words today. Her story teaches us to be brave during hard times. It also helps us learn about history. Anne Frank showed the world that even a young girl can have a powerful voice.
