Whiskers' Great Escape

Whiskers was a small, fluffy cat. She lived with a girl named Lily. Lily loved Whiskers very much.

One sunny morning, Lily left the door open. Whiskers saw her chance! She slipped outside.

The world was big and new. Whiskers explored the garden. She chased butterflies and sniffed flowers.

Suddenly, Whiskers heard a loud noise. A big dog barked at her! Whiskers got scared. She ran and ran.

Whiskers was lost. She didn't know how to get home. She missed Lily's warm cuddles.

Lily looked everywhere for Whiskers. She called her name. "Whiskers! Whiskers!" she cried.

Finally, Lily heard a tiny meow. She followed the sound. There was Whiskers, hiding under a bush!

Lily picked up Whiskers and hugged her tight. "I'm so glad you're safe!" she said. She learned that day that she had to be more careful about leaving the door open. She knew it was her job to keep Whiskers safe.

From that day on, Whiskers stayed close to Lily. She knew Lily loved her and would always take care of her.

Having a cat is a big job. You need to feed them, give them water, and clean their litter box. You also need to play with them and give them lots of love! Taking care of a cat is a great way to learn about responsibility.
