Why Learning Outside Is Great for Kids
AAmber2nd GradeOpinion / Argumentative1 min read192 words

Many kids spend a lot of time indoors today. They look at screens like computers and televisions. But being inside all day is not best for learning. Schools should take students outside to learn in nature.
First, nature helps your brain think. Being around green trees helps you pay attention. It is easier to focus when you can see the open sky. Listening to birds and seeing leaves can help a restless student feel calm.
Second, learning outdoors keeps your body healthy. Sunshine gives you vitamin D. This vitamin helps make your bones strong. Moving around in the fresh air is good for your heart. Running and exploring also helps you stay active and fit.
Third, spending time outside makes you feel happy. Fresh air can lower stress and help you relax. When you look at plants and bugs, you learn to care for living things. You want to protect our planet.
Some people think it is too hard to take class outside. But you do not need a big forest. A small school garden or a grassy playground works well. Learning outside helps every child become a happy and strong learner.
