Zippy the Zamboni
Zippy was a Zamboni. He lived at the Ice Palace. The Ice Palace was a fun place. Kids and grown-ups came to skate. They skated fast and slow. They twirled and jumped.
But skating made the ice bumpy. Bumpy ice is not fun to skate on. That is where Zippy came in!
Zippy's Big Job
Zippy had a very important job. His job was to make the ice smooth again. He drove around the rink. He shaved the bumpy ice. He sprayed water. The water froze and made new, smooth ice.
Kids loved to watch Zippy. He went around and around. He made the ice shiny and new. After Zippy cleaned the ice, it was perfect for skating again.
Zippy's Friends
Zippy had friends at the Ice Palace. There was Sammy the Skate Sharpener. Sammy made sure everyone's skates were sharp. There was also Patty the Popcorn Person. Patty made yummy popcorn for everyone to eat.
But Zippy knew he had the most important job. Without smooth ice, no one could skate! He was happy to help everyone have fun at the Ice Palace.
