Browse printable worksheets by level, skill and text type

Choose a grade or worksheet activity to find material for your lesson. Open More filters to narrow the source or text type. Choices with no matching worksheets are unavailable for your current selection. Adaptable templates remain available with any grade selection and are labeled No fixed grade. Picture activities appear in Lower Elementary (Grades 1–2), following the theme workbook grouping.

The collection brings together worksheets built from real published reading passages, classroom themes, world-map places and curated word packs. Passage activities keep reading at the center; organizers help students compare, plan and record ideas; picture activities support visual vocabulary; and printable word games offer easy, medium and tricky challenges. Open any card to reach the source page and its available preview or download controls.

Find a useful worksheet without losing the lesson context

A worksheet is most useful when it supports a clear teaching goal. Fix the Sentence develops capitalization, punctuation and editing. Vocabulary sheets connect definitions with authentic sentences. Writing prompts help students organize a response, while KWL charts, fact files, Venn diagrams and other organizers give research and discussion a visible structure. Word searches, scrambles, crosswords and memory games add retrieval practice without losing the topic connection.

Grade filters are a starting point, not a restriction. Passage results use their published reading level. Word games offer a suggested challenge for the selected band: Easy for Lower Elementary, Medium for Upper Elementary and Tricky for Middle School. Difficulty and reading level are still different, so teachers can check the topic vocabulary and choose a gentler or harder challenge when that better suits the learner.

Plan for class, intervention, tutoring or home learning

Print one activity as a lesson follow-up, use a graphic organizer during research, add a word game to a literacy center or return to the same topic with a different skill on another day. With All grades and All activities selected, you can compare formats before choosing a more specific collection.

If the collection does not match your lesson, use the Create card in the results. Choose your topic and level to make a reading passage with connected printables or a word-game pack for your class.

Questions teachers ask

Frequently asked questions

Can I browse worksheets by exact grade?

Yes. Choose Grade 1 through Grade 8, or use Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle School when you want a broader range.

What kinds of worksheets can I filter here?

The browser combines passage-based reading and writing practice, classroom organizers, picture activities, printable word games and premium illustrated formats. Choose a family first when you want a shorter list of worksheet types.

Why are some worksheet activities unavailable for my grade?

Only choices with matching worksheets are available. Picture activities are grouped under Lower Elementary (Grades 1–2). Adaptable templates such as comic strips and KWL charts stay available across grade selections, with no fixed grade label. Their task and level of support are yours to choose.

Where do I download a worksheet?

Open a result to visit its passage, theme, map place or game page. The worksheet appears with that source and uses the existing preview, sign-in, plan and download controls.

How can I find a worksheet that suits an individual learner?

Start with the closest grade or band, then compare the topic, text length and vocabulary. A familiar subject can make independent work easier, while a more challenging passage can support guided practice with an adult.
