Roaring engines rumbled through the air as modified tractors pulled heavy sleds across the track, churning up dark, rich Iowa soil while the enthusiastic crowd cheered. Before heading home, Pop took a scenic detour past a famous red covered bridge resting over a quiet, winding creek. They walked across the wooden planks, listening to the gentle murmur of the water below. As the evening sun dipped below the horizon, painting the Midwest sky in brilliant shades of orange and violet, Maya leaned against the bridge railing.
