Barnaby the Cool Dog

Barnaby was a very cool dog. He lived in a blue house with a big green yard.

Barnaby had a pair of shiny black sunglasses. He wore them every single day when the sun was out.

When Barnaby walked down the street, everyone looked at him. He did not bark at the neighborhood cats.

Instead, he just gave them a slow and friendly nod. He liked to be nice to everyone he met.

Barnaby knew how to ride a small wooden skateboard. He could also balance a crunchy treat on his nose.

He was the only dog in town who could do that. Everyone thought Barnaby was very special.

One sunny Saturday, there was a dog show at the park. Barnaby put on his favorite bright red bandana.

He grabbed his skateboard and his cool black glasses. He was ready to show everyone his best tricks.

Many different dogs were at the park that morning. Some dogs were very fast and could jump high.

Other dogs could catch a yellow ball in the air. A few dogs could sit and stay very still for a long time.

Then it was Barnaby's turn to go to the front. He put his sunglasses on his face and waited.

The crowd started to cheer and clap for him. They liked his style and his happy face.

Barnaby hopped onto his skateboard with a big jump. He zoomed across the green grass very fast.

His long ears flew in the wind behind him. He looked like he was having a lot of fun.

At the end of the grass, he did a little flip. The crowd went wild and shouted his name.

Then he stood up on two legs and waved a paw. He looked very cool in his red bandana and glasses.

The judges talked for a few minutes. They said he was the coolest dog they had ever seen.

They gave him a big gold ribbon and a new toy. Barnaby wagged his tail and licked the judges.

Barnaby walked all the way home with his gold ribbon. He was the coolest dog in the whole neighborhood.
