After they finished exploring the moon, Grandpa pointed toward a cluster of bright lights. "That is the Big Dipper," he explained, tracing the shape of a giant ladle in the air with his finger. Maya tried to imagine the ancient people who looked at the same stars and told stories about bears and heroes. She felt a strange sense of wonder, realizing that the light hitting her eyes had traveled for years through the cold vacuum of space just to reach their backyard.

As they sat together on the porch swing, a sudden streak of white light zipped across the darkness. "A shooting star!" Maya shouted, pointing at the fading trail. Grandpa smiled and nodded. Maya realized that while the world felt small and quiet at night, the universe was busy and full of secrets.
