A Fair Turn for the Green Corner

Dear Mr. Henderson,
I am writing to share an idea about how we take care of the plants in Room 14. Ever since we set up our classroom garden near the back windows, the "Green Corner" has become one of my favorite spots in the school. The spider plants and the big golden pothos make our classroom feel bright and lively. However, I have noticed that the way we choose helpers to water and trim the plants is not working well for everyone. I would like to propose a weekly rotating schedule so every student gets a fair chance to help.
Right now, plant care is completely informal. In the morning, whoever happens to sit closest to the windowsill usually grabs the green watering can before anyone else has unpacked their backpack. Other times, students simply shout out or rush over right after the morning bell rings. Because there is no official system, only three or four students end up taking care of the plants every single week. Many of us would love to help, but we do not want to argue or crowd around the shelf.
