A Letter of Appreciation to the Town Archive

October 14, 2024
Mr. Arthur Henderson Volunteer Docent and Collections Assistant Clearwater County Historical Society 412 North Elm Street Clearwater, Ohio 45314
Dear Mr. Henderson,
I am writing to thank you for taking the time to guide our seventh-grade social studies class through the research room and preservation lab last Thursday. Most field trips feel rushed, but our morning with you gave us a completely new way to look at how history is protected. Before our visit, I assumed that archives only kept famous government treaties, battlefield maps, or letters signed by presidents. Watching you handle ordinary records taught me that everyday life tells an equally important story.
