An Invitation to the Ocean Discovery Showcase

October 18
Dear Students in Room 12,
Our class in Room 14 has spent the past three weeks learning all about ocean habitats. We studied deep water zones, colorful coral reefs, and the busy tide pools along the rocky shore. To celebrate finishing our science unit, we turned our entire classroom into an Ocean Discovery Showcase. We would love to invite your class to visit our room, explore our projects, and learn some surprising ocean facts with us!
When you walk through our doorway, you will see three main exhibit stations spread out around the room. At the first station, along the back counter, we built a huge model of a rocky tide pool. We used blue modeling clay, river stones, and papier-mâché to create creatures like sea stars, hermit crabs, and sticky sea anemones. Beside each creature, you will find a small fact card. These cards explain how each animal survives when the ocean tide goes out twice a day and leaves them under the hot sun.
- habitats:

- mobile:

- predators:
- Animals that hunt and eat other animals to survive.

- Allowing people to talk, play, or take action directly with something rather than just looking at it.
