Picking a pet is very exciting. It is also a very big job.

You must think before you get a pet. A pet is a new friend for your home.

Some pets are big and some are small. Some pets like to run and jump outside.

Other pets like to sit and be quiet. You should pick a pet that fits your life.

Dogs are fun and loyal friends. They like to go for long walks with you.

Dogs need to run outside every day. They also need a lot of your time and love.

Cats are soft and like to play inside. They can stay inside the house all day.

Cats like to chase small toy mice. They also like to nap in the warm sun.

Fish live in a tank with blue water. They do not need to go for walks outside.

You must keep their water very clean. Watching fish swim is very peaceful and fun.

Hamsters are small and have soft fur. They like to run on a big wheel.

Hamsters sleep in the day and play at night. They need a safe cage with a lot of hay.

All pets need good food to eat. They need fresh water to drink every day.

You must feed them at the same time. Do not forget to wash their bowls too.

Pets need a safe place to sleep at night. A dog may like a soft and warm bed.

A bird needs a cage with a tall perch. A rabbit needs a hutch with a lot of space.

Cleaning up is a part of pet care. Dogs need a bath when they get dirty.

Cats need a clean box for their waste. Small pets need fresh paper in their cages.

Pets need more than just food and water. They need love and care from you every day.

You should talk to your pet often. You should play fun games with them too.

Social care means being a very good friend. Do not leave your pet alone for a long time.

They can get sad if they are lonely. Give your pet a lot of soft hugs and pets.

Pets need to see a special doctor. This doctor is called a vet.

A vet helps your pet stay very strong. They give the pet medicine if it is sick.

You must check on your pet every day. Look at their eyes and their soft fur.

Make sure they are happy and moving. Healthy pets are very happy pets to have.

A pet stays with you for many years. It is a choice for a very long time.

You must be ready to help every day. It is a big task, but it is also fun.

Having a pet is a great joy for everyone. You will have a best friend for your whole life.
