Claude Monet and the Changing Light

Claude Monet was a painter from France. He loved to make art outside.
Claude did not want to stay indoors. He carried his paints and brushes out into the sunshine.
He watched the light change during the day. In the morning, the light looked soft and cool.
At noon, the sun made the colors bright and warm. In the evening, the sky turned pink and gold.
Claude painted the very same haystacks again and again. Each picture looked different because the light kept changing.
Later, Claude made a big garden at his home in Giverny. He planted bright flowers in long rows.
He dug a pond and added floating water lilies. He built a green wooden bridge over the water.
Claude sat by his pond with his canvas and paints. He painted the calm water and the sky reflected in it.
He used quick brushstrokes to capture how the light danced on the petals. He showed people that light is always moving.
Today, people around the world visit museums to see Claude Monet's colorful garden paintings.
