Jane Goodall and the Chimpanzees

Jane Goodall loved animals. When she grew up, she traveled to Africa.
Jane went to a forest called Gombe. She wanted to learn about chimpanzees.
At first, the chimpanzees ran away. They were afraid of Jane.
Jane was very patient. She sat quietly every day.
Soon, the chimpanzees trusted her. They let her sit close by.
Jane watched them eat and play. She wrote notes in her notebook.
Jane saw a chimpanzee use a stick. The stick helped it get bugs to eat.
People did not know chimpanzees could use tools. Jane showed that animals are very smart.
Jane spent many years in the forest. She learned how chimpanzees live as families.
Later, Jane traveled to many towns and cities. She talked to children and adults.
She asked people to protect wild animals. She asked people to take care of the forests.
Today, people all over the world help animals. Jane showed that one person can make a big difference.
