Hi everyone,

I hope your week is going well! As our student stage manager, I wanted to send an informational email to make sure our whole crew is ready for our first full run-through of The Mystery of Pine Valley. We only have two weeks left until opening night, so our rehearsal this Thursday is going to be very important for getting everything organized.

When and Where to Meet

Our rehearsal will take place on Thursday, October 17, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Please do not go straight to the auditorium seats when the final bell rings. Instead, meet behind the backstage curtain near the stage left entrance door. Mr. Henderson, our drama club advisor, will unlock the prop storage closet at 3:25 p.m. so we can start setting up right away. If you arrive early, please sit quietly along the brick wall near the dressing rooms so the actors can finish their vocal warm-ups without distractions.

Specific Crew Jobs

During our last meeting, a few people asked about which tasks they should focus on. To keep things running smoothly, I have divided our responsibilities into three teams:

Glossary
rehearsal:
A practice session where actors and crew prepare for a public performance.
auditorium:
A large room or hall where an audience sits to watch performances.
scenery:
The painted backdrops, structures, or furnishings used on stage to show a setting.
fragile:
Easily broken, damaged, or torn; delicate.
prop:
An object used by actors on stage during a theatrical performance.
substitute:
A person who takes the place of another who is absent.
