Join the Willow Creek Story Walk!

Are you ready to turn an afternoon stroll into a vibrant reading adventure? Put on your favorite sneakers and head outdoors! The Oakridge Neighborhood Association invites local families, neighbors, and young book lovers to explore the Willow Creek Story Walk.
What Is a Story Walk?
A story walk transforms an ordinary nature trail into a giant, open-air picture book. Instead of sitting quietly indoors, readers walk together from one station to the next along a gentle, paved path. At each numbered stop, you will find a large, weather-resistant sign displaying two oversized pages from an illustrated storybook. As you and your family walk the winding path under the shade of tall willow trees, the plot unfolds step by step. Along with the story text, each display board features a fun interactive prompt. You might be asked to spot a specific bird perched in the branches, count the yellow wildflowers near the path, or mimic the expression of the main character before walking to the next stop!
