Leo and the Cookie!
Leo loved cookies. Big, yummy chocolate chip cookies!
One day, his mom baked a fresh batch. The smell filled the kitchen.
Leo saw the cookies cooling on the counter. They looked so good.
He wanted to grab one right away. But his mom said, "Wait until after lunch, Leo."
Leo felt his tummy rumble. It was hard to wait.
He looked at the cookies. He really, really wanted one.
But Leo remembered what his mom said. He took a deep breath.
He knew he had self-control. This meant he could wait.
Leo decided to go play with his toy cars. He rolled them on the floor.
He built a tall tower with his blocks. Time passed quickly.
Soon, his mom called, "Lunchtime!"
After lunch, his mom smiled. "Now, you can have a cookie, Leo."
Leo picked the biggest one! It tasted extra special.
He felt proud of himself for waiting. He used his self-control!
It felt good to follow the rules.
