Welcome to our classroom tabletop strategy tournament. Setting up a fair competition requires clear procedures so that every participant understands how pairings happen, how scores count, and what happens when rounds do not divide evenly. Follow these steps carefully to ensure our tournament runs smoothly, honestly, and on schedule.

Section 1: Player Registration and Entry

Before any games begin, every interested participant must register with the student tournament director at the side counter.

  1. Write your full name and your designated homeroom number on the master roster clipboard.
  2. Take an entry card from the supply box. Legibly write your name at the top in permanent marker.
  3. Verify your attendance during morning check-in. Anyone who is not physically present in the room ten minutes before the scheduled draw will be marked inactive and cannot be placed into the first-round schedule.
  4. Once check-in closes, the director counts the total number of active entry cards and announces the official roster size to the room.

Section 2: The Random Draw and Pairings

To keep match assignments unbiased, we do not allow players to challenge specific friends or select their own opponents. All pairings rely strictly on a blind draw.
