Why I Love to Read While Camping

Camping is super fun. I love to sleep in a tent and roast marshmallows. But my favorite thing to do while camping is read books!

It's Quiet

The forest is quiet at night. All the animals are sleeping. Sometimes I can hear the wind, but it's a nice sound. When it's quiet, I can hear the story in my book. I don't hear the TV or loud cars.

It's Cozy

I bring a flashlight to read in my tent. I get in my sleeping bag, and it's so warm! The flashlight makes a little circle of light. I feel like I am in my own secret world when I read. It's the best feeling!

Books are Fun

Books can take you anywhere! When I read a book, I can go to the moon or swim in the sea. I can meet new people and have adventures. I can do all these things without leaving my tent. That is why reading while camping is so fun. You should try it!
