The Tower of London is a very old place. It is in a big city called London.

It looks like a giant castle made of cold, gray stone. It has tall towers and thick, strong walls.

Long ago, a king built this grand castle. He wanted to keep his family and his helpers safe.

For many years, kings and queens lived in the castle. It was a beautiful royal palace with pretty rooms.

It was also a strong fortress. Brave soldiers stood guard at the heavy gates day and night.

Today, the castle is famous for its special birds. These birds are big, black ravens.

Six ravens live at the tower all the time. They have shiny black feathers and sharp beaks.

There is an old legend about these ravens. The legend says the castle will fall if the ravens ever leave.

So, kind guards take very good care of the birds. They feed them fresh meat and tasty treats.

The ravens love to hop on the green grass. They are like the kings of the castle now.

People from all over the world visit the Tower of London today. They come to see the ancient stones and watch the happy ravens play.
