Scene 1: The Srawgoh Training Pitch
NARRATOR: Welcome to Srawgoh, the prestigious academy of magical arts, where soaring stone towers touch the clouds and ancient magic whispers through the corridors. Today, on the windy training pitch, the House of the Lions is holding tryouts for their flying Hiddique team. Holden, a determined thirteen-year-old with bright blonde hair and vivid blue eyes, stands as the team’s Captain and star Seeker. Beside him are Lyra, a courageous student, and Sam, an eager first-year holding a massive spellbook.
HOLDEN: (Calling out) Focus, everyone! The Hiddique Cup Finals against the Ravens are tomorrow. We need a strong Chaser who isn't afraid of high-speed maneuvers! Drake, you’re up! Show us what you can do on that broom!
DRAKE: (Mounting his broom nervously) You got it, Captain! Watch this!
NARRATOR: Drake kicks off the ground, rocketing into the autumn air. He weaves through the wooden hoops with impressive agility, diving and spiraling to catch a practice sphere.
SAM: (Squinting at a magical slate) Incredible! His trajectory is perfectly calculated to minimize wind resistance. If he maintains that angular velocity, his speed will surpass any Raven defender!
LYRA: He’s got real heart, too. Look at how he recovers from that dive! He’s exactly what the Lions need.
HOLDEN: (Smiling) Outstanding flying, Drake! Land it!
DRAKE: (Landing, breathless) Did... did I make the cut, Holden? I’ve wanted to play for the Lions since my first day here.
HOLDEN: Welcome to the team, Drake. You’re our new starting Chaser. But keep your guard up. The Ravens will play dirty, and their older ally, Jax, has been lurking around, trying to intimidate our newcomers.
DRAKE: I won't let Jax or anyone else scare me. We are going to win that Cup!
Scene 2: The Whispering Corridor, Midnight
NARRATOR: Later that night, the castle is quiet, cast in silver moonlight. But a shadow creeps near the ancient North Tower. Holden, unable to sleep before the big match, hears an unusual crackle of energy near the castle's primary ward stones.
HOLDEN: (Whispering to himself) What is that sound? The protective barriers shouldn't be humming like that. It sounds like... sabotage.
NARRATOR: As Holden approaches the tower door, a glowing, purple containment ward suddenly snaps shut behind him, trapping him in a sphere of dark magic. The magical ward siphons Holden's voice, leaving him trapped and unheard in the cold tower.
HOLDEN: (Banging on the invisible barrier) Hey! Let me out! The wards are collapsing! If the barrier fails, the whole castle is vulnerable!
Scene 3: The Morning of the Match
NARRATOR: The next morning, the Great Hall buzzed with excitement. Banners of gold and blue fluttered from the ceiling. But at the Lions' table, anxiety replaced anticipation.
LYRA: (Looking around frantically) Has anyone seen Holden? The match starts in twenty minutes. He wouldn’t just skip the finals!
SAM: I checked the dormitory. His broom is still there, but his compass-stone is vibrating with a high-frequency distress signal. It’s pointing directly to the forbidden North Tower!
DRAKE: This has Jax written all over it. He boasted yesterday that the Lions wouldn’t even have a Captain by sunrise. We have to save him!
NARRATOR: The three students race through the winding, cobblestone corridors of Srawgoh, arriving at the base of the sealed North Tower. A swirling, dark violet barrier blocks the stairs.
SAM: (Examining the barrier) It’s a runic containment matrix! It's designed to lock down the castle's defense wards. If we don't deactivate it, not only is Holden trapped, but the entire magical shield of Srawgoh will collapse!
LYRA: Then we break it. I’m not letting our Captain—or our school—down. Sam, how do we bypass the magic?
SAM: The runes require a simultaneous three-part counter-curse. We must channel our magical energy into three specific nodes at the exact same millisecond. Drake, take the left node. Lyra, the right. I'll take the center!
DRAKE: (Drawing his wand) I’m ready. For Holden, and for Srawgoh!
LYRA: On three. One... two... three... Finite Incantatem!
NARRATOR: Bright beams of red, blue, and gold magic erupt from their wands, striking the dark barrier. With a deafening shatter like breaking glass, the dark ward dissolves, and the heavy oak door swings open, revealing a weakened Holden.
HOLDEN: (Stepping out, gasping) You did it! The castle wards are stabilizing. You saved the school!
LYRA: No time for celebration yet, Captain. The Ravens are already on the pitch, and the game is starting!
HOLDEN: Grab your brooms. Let's fly!
Scene 4: The Hiddique Cup Finals
NARRATOR: The wind howls across the packed stadium. Hundreds of students cheer as Headmaster Shannon stands at the podium, her elegant, warm presence commanding the entire arena.
HEADMASTER SHANNON: Welcome, students of Srawgoh, to the annual Hiddique Cup Finals! Let the match between the Lions and the Ravens begin!
NARRATOR: The whistle blows, and players shoot into the sky like colorful meteors. The game is fierce. The Ravens take an early lead, their aggressive plays pushing the Lions to their limits.
DRAKE: (Swooping past a defender) Lyra! Catch!
LYRA: (Catching the sphere and throwing it through the high ring) Yes! That's ten points for the Lions!
NARRATOR: High above the chaos, Holden circles the pitch, his blue eyes scanning the clouds. Suddenly, a streak of brilliant gold catches his eye—the elusive Volt-Wing, worth one hundred and fifty points.
HOLDEN: (Shouting) I see it! Drake, cover my flank!
DRAKE: I’ve got your back, Holden! Go get it!
NARRATOR: A Raven Seeker dives toward Holden, trying to force him off course. But Drake executes a flawless, daring block, clearing the path. Holden reaches out, his fingers brushing against the cold morning air, and clamps his hand shut.
HOLDEN: (Holding his fist high) I’ve got it! I caught the Volt-Wing!
NARRATOR: The stadium erupts into thunderous applause. Golden sparks rain down from the sky.
Scene 5: The Victory Presentation
NARRATOR: Later, in the Great Hall, the entire school is gathered. Headmaster Shannon steps forward, her face shining with pride.
HEADMASTER SHANNON: Today, we celebrate more than just a victory on the Hiddique pitch. We celebrate outstanding bravery, intellect, and teamwork. While others sought to disrupt our community, these young Lions stood together to protect our home.
SAM: We couldn't have done it without each other. Magic is powerful, but friendship is unbreakable.
DRAKE: And we proved that we are a real team, on and off the field.
HEADMASTER SHANNON: Indeed. For protecting the castle wards and securing a magnificent victory, I present the House Cup to the Lions!
HOLDEN: (Raising the golden cup) To the Lions! And to the best friends a Captain could ever ask for!
NARRATOR: And so, the halls of Srawgoh echoed with cheers, proving that even the darkest spells are no match for the courage and unity of true friends.
