That means they were very excited and wanted to find gold. They left their homes and jobs to travel to the Klondike to try their luck.
The Difficult Journey
Getting to the Klondike was not easy. Most people had to travel over long distances and face many challenges. Imagine traveling thousands of miles, sometimes by boat and sometimes on foot, through snowy mountains and icy rivers. They had to carry all their supplies, like food, tools, and blankets. It was a tough and dangerous trip!
