The Little Scientist

The Little Scientist
Lily loved to learn. She loved to ask questions. One day, Lily asked her mom, "What does a scientist do?"
Her mom said, "A scientist asks questions too! They try to find the answers. They look, they see, and they learn new things."
Lily smiled. She wanted to be a scientist today! She got her toy box. She put on her dad's big glasses. She was ready.
First, Lily looked at her toys. She had a red ball, a blue car, and a green doll. "Hmm," she said. "Which toy is the softest?" She felt each one. The doll was soft! "I see! The doll is soft," she said. "I am a scientist!"
Next, Lily went to the kitchen. She saw apples, bananas, and grapes. "Which fruit is the sweetest?" she asked. She took a little bite of each. The banana was sweet! "I see! The banana is sweet," she said. "Science is fun!"
Lily learned that scientists ask questions and find answers. She was happy to be a little scientist for the day.
