The Secret in the Woods

Leo and Mia were best friends who lived next door. They loved to go on big adventures every single weekend. Today, they went to the deep woods behind Mia's blue house. The sun was bright and the happy birds sang loud songs. They carried small bags filled with snacks and cold water. Leo wanted to find a hidden cave with old rocks. Mia wanted to find a secret path through the tall grass.
They walked deep into the green forest for a long time. The trees were very tall and had thick brown bark. Suddenly, they saw a flash of bright white light. It was hiding behind a very large and old oak tree. Mia held Leo's hand because she felt very excited and happy. They walked slowly to see what was making the bright light. The air felt cool and it smelled like sweet purple flowers.
They stepped into a beautiful sunny clearing with soft grass. In the middle stood a horse with a long silver horn. The horn was very long and it sparkled in the sun. Its coat was as white as a fluffy new cloud. Mia and Leo could not believe their own eyes today. "It is a real unicorn," Leo whispered to his friend. They had always thought unicorns were only in story books.
The unicorn looked at the two friends with its big eyes. It did not run away or feel scared of them. It bowed its head and made a very soft humming sound. Mia reached out her small hand to say a nice hello. The unicorn's nose felt soft like a smooth silk scarf. They stayed in the clearing for a very long time. It was the best adventure they ever had together.
