The Special Little Tree
Snow fell on the tree farm. Leo and Mia walked in the cold air.
They looked at all the big green trees. Some trees were as tall as houses.
Then Leo stopped near a wooden fence. He saw a very small pine tree.
The little tree had short branches. It stood alone in the cold wind.
"No one wants this tree," Mia said softly. "It looks sad because it is so small."
Leo smiled at his sister. "We can take it home," he said.
Dad helped the children carry the tiny tree. They brought it inside their warm living room.
Leo and Mia made red paper hearts. They strung sweet popcorn on long white strings.
Mia hung shiny bells on the low branches. Leo placed a bright gold star on the very top.
The little tree was not sad anymore. It sparkled with warm light and love.
