Working Together at Camp

SCENE 1: The Messy Camp
(Setting: A forest. AVA, NOAH, and SOFIA are standing by a flat tent. The sun is going down.)
AVA: Oh no! It is getting dark. Our tent is flat. We have no dinner.
NOAH: I can fix it! I will pull this rope to that tree.
SOFIA: No, Noah. The rope goes in the ground. And look! A raccoon ate our bread!
AVA: This is not fun. Our tent is broken and our food is gone.
NOAH: We need to stay calm. Sofia, where is the map?
SOFIA: I lost it. I think the wind blew it away.
SCENE 2: A Friend Helps
(RANGER MILLER walks in with a flashlight.)
RANGER MILLER: Hello, campers! Do you need help?
AVA: Yes! Everything is going wrong.
SOFIA: A raccoon took our food. We lost our map. The tent will not stand up.
RANGER MILLER: Do not be sad. You just need to work as a team. That is the best way to fix things.
SCENE 3: Making a Plan
RANGER MILLER: Noah, take this flashlight. Use these stakes to hold the tent in the ground. Can you do that?
NOAH: Yes! I can do it.
RANGER MILLER: Sofia, can you draw a new map? Do you remember what you saw?
SOFIA: Yes! I saw a big rock and a bridge. I will draw it now!
RANGER MILLER: Ava, let's put the food in this box with a lock. This keeps the animals away.
AVA: Good idea! I will do that now.
SCENE 4: A Happy Night
(The tent is up. Everything is clean.)
NOAH: Look! The tent is up. Thank you, Ranger Miller!
SOFIA: I finished my map. Now I know the way.
AVA: The food is safe. I am sorry I was upset. We are a good team.
RANGER MILLER: You did it! You worked together. That is the secret to a great trip.
NOAH: Next time, we will work together from the start!
SOFIA: And I will keep the map in my pocket.
AVA: Let’s look at the stars!
