SCENE 1: The Messy Campsite
(Setting: A forest at sunset. AVA, NOAH, and SOFIA are standing near a flat tent and a pile of gear. The sun is going down.)
AVA: (Pacing around) I knew it! It’s almost dark, the tent is a mess, and we haven't even eaten dinner.
NOAH: (Holding some messy ropes) It’s okay, Ava. We just missed a step in the book. If I pull this rope toward that big tree, the tent will pop up!
SOFIA: (Sighing) Noah, the rope goes into the ground with a stake, not a tree. And look at the cooler! A raccoon got in and took our bread and fruit.
AVA: This is terrible. We are sleeping in a broken tent with no food. This was supposed to be a fun trip, but now it feels like a disaster.
NOAH: We need to stay calm. Sofia, do you have the map? We need to find the water pump before it gets too dark.
SOFIA: (Looking in her bag) I... I can't find it. I think I left it on the picnic table, or the wind blew it away.
AVA: Now we are lost in the dark with no food. We are not doing a good job at all.
