The Pirate and the Friendly Shark
Captain Pip was a pirate.
He lived on a big, wood ship.
The ship had a white sail.
The sail caught the wind.
Pip loved the deep blue sea.
He wore a bright red hat.
He wore black boots too.
Pip was a very kind pirate.
One sunny day, Pip was sad.
He looked for his gold box.
He looked under his bed.
He looked in the kitchen.
The box was not on the ship.
"Where is my gold?" Pip asked.
He looked at the green island.
He walked on the hot sand.
He looked behind a tall tree.
He looked under a big rock.
The gold box was not there.
Pip sat down and sighed.
Then, he saw a big fin.
A shark swam near the shore.
The shark was gray and fast.
Pip stood up very fast.
"Do not be afraid," said the shark.
The shark had a big smile.
His name was Sid the Shark.
Sid was a friendly fish.
"Why are you so sad?" Sid asked.
Pip said, "I lost my gold."
"I can help you," said Sid.
Sid swam deep into the water.
The water was cool and dark.
Sid saw many small fish.
Then, he saw a wood box.
It was stuck in some seaweed.
Sid used his nose to push it.
He pushed the box to the beach.
Pip saw the box in the waves.
He ran into the water to get it.
"You found my gold!" Pip cried.
He opened the box and cheered.
The gold was safe and dry.
Pip was the happiest pirate.
Pip wanted to say thank you.
He went back to his ship.
He got a big bucket of fish.
He gave the fish to Sid.
Sid ate the fish and smiled.
Now, Pip and Sid are best friends.
They meet at the beach every day.
The pirate and the shark are happy.
