Mia and the Rainbow Bridge

Mia looked out the window.

Gray drops of rain fell from the sky.

She wanted to play outside.

Her dog, Toby, let out a sad whine.

"We must wait, Toby," Mia said.

She sat down on the soft rug.

Soon, the yellow sun began to shine.

The rain did not stop yet.

Mia looked up at the sky.

She saw a bright flash of color.

"Look, Toby!" Mia cried out.

A giant rainbow bent across the sky.

It had bright red and warm orange.

It had yellow, green, blue, and purple.

Mia ran to the back door.

She put on her red boots.

Toby ran out into the wet grass.

The grass felt cold and clean.

They ran toward the big rainbow.

It looked like a colorful bridge in the sky.

Mia felt very happy.

She loved the bright colors.

"The rain made a painting," Mia laughed.

Toby barked and chased a wet leaf.

The sun grew very bright.

Slowly, the pretty colors began to fade away.

But Mia was not sad at all.

She knew the rainbow would come back another day.
