Mia and Ben had a whole day to play. But they could not pick what to do first.

“Let’s go skating!” said Mia.

“Let’s go cycling!” said Ben. He pointed to his bike.

Then they saw dark clouds. Soon, rain tapped on the steps.

“Oh, no,” said Mia. “Now what?”

Ben ran inside and came back with a box. It held a big puzzle with a picture of a lake.

They spread the pieces on the rug. Mia found the blue ones, and Ben found the green ones.

One piece was missing. They looked under the box and behind the chair.

At last, Ben found it on his sock! He put it in the last spot.

The rain kept falling. So they played a board game and watched a funny cartoon about a dancing duck.

Mia showed Ben the animal cards she liked to collect. Ben showed her a video game where a tiny frog hopped over logs.

When the sun came out, they raced to the door. They put on their helmets and rode their bikes around the park path.

At the park, they saw kids play volleyball. The ball rolled toward Mia, and she tossed it back.
