Drawing with Friends Is the Best

I think drawing with friends is the best activity in school.

First, drawing with a pal is fun because you can share tools. Yesterday, I needed a sky-blue crayon to finish my pond. My friend Sam had the blue crayon, and I had the bright green marker. We traded our colors, and our pictures looked so bright.

Next, friends give each other great ideas. Sometimes you look at a blank white sheet and do not know what to draw. When Mia sat by me, she drew a cat with tiny boots. That made me laugh! Then I had the idea to make a funny dog wearing a big hat.

Some kids say drawing alone is better because it is quiet. It is true that drawing alone can be peaceful. But working next to a friend makes art time feel like a happy party.

Drawing together makes art much more fun. The next time you grab your paper, invite a friend to sit next to you!
