My Galapagos Adventure

July 15th

Dear Diary,

Today was the best day ever! We arrived in the Galapagos Islands. It's so different here! The plane was bumpy, but it was worth it.

Everything is amazing. I saw so many animals I've only read about in books.

First, we went to a beach. There were sea lions everywhere! They were barking and playing. One even tried to steal my hat!

July 16th

Today, we went on a boat. We saw blue-footed boobies! Their feet really are blue. It looks like they stepped in paint.

We also went snorkeling. I swam with sea turtles! They were so big and graceful. They moved very slowly.

July 17th

We visited a place with giant tortoises. They were huge! Some were as old as my grandma. They eat plants and walk around very slowly. I gave one a leaf.

I learned that the Galapagos is special. The animals and plants here are found nowhere else. We need to protect this place. I will tell all my friends about it.

Goodnight, Diary.

Love, Lily
