How to Bake Spooky Bat Cookies
Baking cookies is a fun kitchen activity. You can make spooky bat cookies for a sweet treat!
Always ask an adult to help you. The oven gets very hot, so safety comes first.
Things You Need:
- 1 package of sugar cookie dough
- 1 small cup of flour
- 1 rolling pin
- 1 bat cookie cutter
- 1 flat baking pan
- 1 can of chocolate frosting
- A handful of small candy eyes
Step 1: Get Ready Wash your hands with warm water and soap.
Ask your adult helper to turn the oven on. Set the heat to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Roll the Dough Sprinkle some flour on a clean counter. This stops the sweet dough from sticking.
Place the dough on the flour. Use the rolling pin to roll it flat like a thick pancake.
Step 3: Cut the Bats Press your bat cookie cutter into the flat dough. Push down hard on all sides.
Lift the cutter straight up. Carefully peel the extra dough away from the edges.
Place each bat shape onto the baking pan. Leave space between them so they do not touch.
Step 4: Bake and Cool Ask your adult helper to slide the pan into the oven. Bake the cookies for ten minutes.
