How to Fold Flying Hats and Bats
Do you want to make spooky paper flyers? You can fold a flying witch hat and a fast paper bat.
Things You Need
- Black or purple paper
- Child-safe scissors
- A white crayon or marker
- A flat table
Part 1: The Flying Witch Hat

Start with a square piece of paper. Place it flat so it looks like a diamond.

Fold the bottom corner up to the top corner. Crease the fold with your finger to make a triangle.

Take the bottom flat edge. Fold it up one inch to make the brim of the hat.

Turn the paper over to the back. Fold the left and right corners inward so they overlap in the middle.

Press all the folds flat. Hold the brim and toss it gently like a disc. Watch your witch hat glide through the air!
Part 2: The Flying Bat

Take a rectangular sheet of paper. Fold it in half lengthwise, then unfold it so you see a center line.

Fold the top two corners down to meet the middle crease. This will make a point at the top.

Fold the top point straight down. Your paper will now look like an envelope.
