How to Make a Bright Paper Pumpkin
Fall is a fun time for crafts. Making a paper pumpkin is easy and colorful.
You can hang your art on a wall. Follow these simple steps to make your own pumpkin.
What You Need
- White construction paper
- Black construction paper
- An orange crayon
- Small squares of yellow and orange tissue paper
- Liquid school glue mixed with a little water
- A small paintbrush
- Safety scissors
What to Do
Step 1: Draw your pumpkin. Take your white paper and an orange crayon. Draw a big, round pumpkin shape in the center.
Step 2: Color the shape. Color inside your pumpkin outline with your orange crayon. Color it lightly so the paper still looks bright.
Step 3: Add the paper squares. Put small dots of glue all over the pumpkin. Crumple the tissue paper squares with your fingers. Press the yellow and orange papers onto the glue. Let the colors overlap across the whole pumpkin.
Step 4: Paint the top layer. Dip your paintbrush into the wet glue mix. Paint a thin, gentle coat over the tissue paper. This seals all the paper pieces in place.
Step 5: Let it dry. Set your artwork in a safe, warm spot. Wait until the glue is dry to the touch.
