How to Make a Cardboard Monster
Do you want to make a silly monster friend? You can build one using simple craft supplies!
What You Need
- Clean cardboard tubes
- Bright construction paper
- Child-safe scissors
- A glue stick
- Googly eyes
- Washable markers
Step 1: Cover the Tube
Pick your favorite color of construction paper. Spread glue all over the outside of your cardboard tube.
Wrap the paper tightly around the tube. Press the paper down with your fingers so it stays in place.
Step 2: Cut Out Silly Shapes
Now it is time to make fun monster parts. Use your safety scissors to cut shapes from extra paper.
You can cut sharp white triangles for teeth. You can cut long zigzag strips for wild monster hair.
You can even cut out pointy horns or floppy ears. Make your monster look as funny as you want!
Step 3: Glue the Pieces
Put a dab of glue on the back of each googly eye. Press the eyes onto the front of your tube.
You can use one eye, two eyes, or even four eyes! Next, glue on your paper hair, teeth, and horns.
Step 4: Draw Extra Details
Grab your washable markers to finish your monster. Draw a big smiling mouth or a goofy frown.
