How to Make a Corn Cob Mosaic
Fall is a fun time for crafts. You can make a bright corn cob to hang up.
This project uses paper or seeds to make a neat pattern. Follow these steps to make your own fall mosaic.
Things You Need:
- One sheet of white paper
- One pencil
- Liquid glue or a glue stick
- Dried corn kernels or small squares of yellow, red, and orange paper
- Green construction paper
- Child-safe scissors
Step 1: Draw the Corn
Take your white paper and your pencil. Draw a big oval in the middle of the page.
Make the oval tall and round. This shape will be your ear of corn.
Step 2: Spread the Glue
Squeeze some glue inside the oval shape. Spread it out so the whole oval is sticky.
Do not use too much glue. A thin layer works best.
Step 3: Make Your Pattern
Pick up your paper squares or dried corn kernels. Press them into the wet glue one by one.
You can make rows of bright colors. Try a row of yellow, then a row of orange.
Fill up the whole oval shape. Now your corn looks full and bumpy.
Step 4: Add the Green Husk
Take your green construction paper. Cut out two long leaf shapes.
