How to Make a Paper Plate Ghost
Halloween is a fun time to make spooky art.
You can make a friendly ghost to hang in your room!
This craft is easy and quick to do.
Ask an adult to help you get your supplies.
What You Need:
- One white paper plate
- Black marker or black paper
- White crepe paper or tissue paper
- Glue stick
- Safety scissors
- Yarn or string
Step 1: Make the Face
Place the paper plate on your desk.
The bumpy rim should face up like a bowl.
Draw two big black ovals for eyes.
Draw one big open oval for an open mouth.
Your ghost will look like it is shouting, "Boo!"
Step 2: Cut the Paper Strips
Take the white crepe paper or tissue paper.
Cut five or six long strips with your scissors.
Make some strips long and some strips short.
These paper strips will be the ghost's floating body.
Step 3: Glue the Strips
Turn the paper plate over so the back is facing up.
Rub glue along the bottom edge of the plate.
Press the top of each white strip onto the glue.
Press down firmly and count to five.
Now turn the plate back over to see the face.
