Make a Magic Fall Leaf
Fall leaves have bright colors. You can make your own leaf with a fun art trick!
Things You Need:
- Thick white paper
- A pencil
- A white crayon
- Watercolor paints
- A brush and a cup of water
Step 1: Draw Your Leaf Use your pencil to draw a big leaf on the paper. Make it fill up the whole page.
Step 2: Add the Veins Leaves have tiny lines inside them called veins. Press hard with your white crayon to draw these lines. It may be hard to see the white wax now, but that is okay!
Step 3: Wet Your Paint Dip your paintbrush into the clean water. Swirl the wet brush in red, orange, or yellow paint.
Step 4: Paint the Leaf Brush the wet paint right over your crayon lines. Watch what happens! The paint will not stick to the wax. The white leaf veins will pop out like magic.
Step 5: Let It Dry Fill the whole leaf with bright fall colors. Let the paper dry on a flat table before you hang it up.
