NARRATOR: It is 5:30 in the morning. In a dark room with heavy blackout curtains, Liam sits at a desk wearing a headset. A large glass mirror hangs on the wall behind him. Liam sips from an expensive crimson juice pouch labeled 100% Synthetic Nutrition.
LIAM: (Sighing) Centuries ago, I wandered under the stars. Now, I troubleshoot internet routers. Going cruelty-free is expensive, and since I cannot enter a house without an invitation, working from home was my only choice.
NARRATOR: A loud chime rings through Liam’s computer speakers. An incoming video support call flashes on his screen. Liam straightens his collar, pastes on a cheerful smile, and clicks Accept.
LIAM: Thank you for calling Omnitech Support. My name is Liam. How can I help you navigate your digital world today?
HAROLD: (Leaning very close to his camera) Liam! My new OmniCam is broken! Look at your background. Your mirror is completely empty! You are sitting right in front of it, but there is no reflection of you back there!
LIAM: (Freezing) Ah. Well, sir, that is actually just a personal—
