Our Block Center Report

This is a report about our first-grade block center. Students built three new things on the rug today.
Shapes Used
The class used cubes and flat boards. They also used round cylinders and triangle blocks.
The blue cubes had flat, square sides. The orange cylinders were smooth and could roll.
Sizes Observed
The blocks had different sizes. Some blocks were big and heavy.
Other blocks were small and light. Students put the big blocks on the bottom.
Structures Made
Students made three different things. First, they built a tall tower with ten cubes.
Next, they made a long road with eight flat boards. The road went all the way to the door.
Last, they built a wide house with four walls. They put two triangle blocks on top for the roof.
Conclusion
Blocks come in many shapes and sizes. Different blocks help make different things.
Flat cubes make tall towers. Triangle blocks make good roofs.
