Today is a very special day in school. It is bubble day for the kindergarten class. Everyone is excited to go outside. The sun is bright and the sky is blue.

Ms. Bell brings out a big blue bucket. The bucket is full of soapy water. She puts many wands on the grass. There are wands of all different shapes.

Leo picks up a small round wand. He blows a tiny bubble into the air. The bubble floats high above his head. It looks like a little glass ball.

Maya has a wand shaped like a star. She waves it fast through the warm air. Many bubbles pop out at the same time. They shine with colors like a rainbow.

Sam wants to make a giant bubble. He uses two long sticks and a string. He pulls the sticks apart very slowly. A huge bubble grows and grows.

It is as big as a beach ball. Everyone shouts and claps their hands. The giant bubble wobbles in the wind. It looks like a big, clear wobbly cloud.

The wind blows the bubbles across the grass. The children run to catch the floating shapes. They try to be very gentle and quiet. It is hard to catch a bubble without a pop.

Sam tries to poke a bubble with his finger. Pop goes the bubble with a tiny splash! Water drops fall on his green shirt. He laughs and tries to catch another one.

Maya laughs as a bubble lands on her nose. It stays there for a second before it pops. She feels the cool water on her skin. The bubbles feel like light magic.

The sun makes the bubbles look very bright. The playground is full of soapy circles. Some bubbles go up into the trees. Other bubbles land softly on the green grass.

Ms. Bell smiles at all the happy faces. She says that bubbles are fun for everyone. She helps the kids make more soapy water. The fun does not have to end yet.

The class keeps playing until the bell rings. They will always remember the big bubble day. It was the best day of the whole year. Everyone went home with a big smile.
