Dear Mrs. Lopez,

I love reading time in our classroom.

Our class has many fun books to read.

Right now, the big book basket is on the top shelf.

The top shelf is too high for us.

We cannot reach the basket.

We must wait for you to get the books down.

You are often busy helping other kids.

Please move the book basket to the bottom shelf.

If it is low, we can reach it by ourselves.

We can pick our own books quickly.

Then we can start reading right away.

Some kids might worry that a low basket will get messy.

I promise we will be careful.

We can put the books back neatly every day.

Thank you for helping us read.

Your student,

Mia
