Fun Apple Stamping
Fall is a fun time to make art. You can use fresh apples as stamps!
Things You Need:
- One or two apples
- An adult to help cut
- Red, yellow, and orange washable paint
- Paper plates
- White paper
- Paper towels
Step 1: Prep the Apple Ask a grown-up to cut an apple in half. Look inside to see the seeds.
Press the cut side onto a paper towel. This soaks up the wet juice so paint sticks better.
Step 2: Dip in Paint Squirt your favorite fall colors onto paper plates. Red, orange, and yellow look bright and cheerful.
Dip the flat side of the apple into the paint. Make sure the whole flat side is covered.
Step 3: Stamp Your Paper Press the apple firmly onto your paper. Push down hard, but do not slide it around.
Lift the apple straight up into the air. You will see a colorful apple shape!
Step 4: Pick a Design Stamp apples in a line to make a pretty pattern. You can use red, then yellow, then red again.
You can also stamp lots of apples in a bunch. Draw a basket around them with a brown crayon.
Another fun idea is to make an orchard. Draw brown tree trunks on your paper first, then stamp apples on top.
Let the paint dry. Hang up your bright fall picture for all to see!
