How to Make a Pinecone Owl
You can make a cute little owl for fall. All you need is a pinecone from outside!
Things You Need:
- One dry pinecone
- Brown, yellow, and orange paper
- Child scissors
- Glue
- A black marker
Step 1: Clean the Pinecone Find a pinecone under a tree. Gently brush away any loose dirt.
Step 2: Make the Eyes Cut two round circles from the yellow paper. Use the black marker to color a dark dot in the center of each circle.
Step 3: Cut the Beak Cut a small triangle out of the orange paper. This triangle will be the beak.
Step 4: Make Wings and Feet Cut two oval shapes from the brown paper for wings. Then cut two small shapes from the orange paper for feet.
Step 5: Glue the Pieces Put a drop of glue on each yellow eye. Press the eyes onto the top of the pinecone.
Glue the orange beak right under the eyes. Next, slide the brown wings into the sides of the pinecone.
Glue the two small feet onto the bottom. Press each piece gently so it stays in place.
Let the glue dry on a flat table. Your little pinecone owl is ready to display!
