Lily and the Mountain of Cake

Lily and the Mountain of Cake
Lily loved cake more than anything! One sunny day, Lily's mom baked a big, yummy cake. It was chocolate with pink frosting and rainbow sprinkles.
Lily's mom said, "Lily, you can have one piece after dinner."
But Lily really, really wanted more. She waited until her mom was busy. Then, she tiptoed to the kitchen and cut a big piece of cake. She ate it quickly. It was so good that she cut another piece, and then another! Soon, Lily had eaten almost half of the cake!
After a while, Lily's tummy started to hurt. "Oh no," she said. "I ate too much cake!" She felt very full and a little sick. When her mom came in, Lily looked sad.
"What's wrong, Lily?" her mom asked.
Lily told her mom that she ate too much cake. Her mom smiled. "Sometimes, too much of a good thing can make you feel bad," she said. "Next time, remember to only eat one piece."
Lily learned her lesson. That night, she only ate a small piece of cake after dinner. Her tummy felt much better, and she enjoyed every bite!
