William Visits Bozeman
William walked down Main Street in Bozeman. He held his grandpa’s hand. The big blue sky was bright above them. Huge mountain peaks stood tall behind the red brick buildings.
"Long ago, miners came to this valley," Grandpa said. "They looked for gold in the hills. They came to town to buy food and tools."
William looked at the old brick walls. He tried to picture miners riding horses down the dusty road. Today, there were cars, trucks, and people riding bikes.
They stopped at a shop to buy sweet ice cream. Happy people walked past with their dogs. The old mining town was now a fun modern mountain town.
William smiled and ate his cold treat. He liked looking at the high mountains. He was glad he could visit Bozeman today.
