How to create and manage a child or student profile

A child or student profile keeps their activities and progress in one place. It sits under your adult PicoBuddy account; your child or student does not need an email address, password, subscription, or ordinary account.

Add a child or student profile

1. Sign in with the adult account and open My Library.
2. Open Children. Teacher accounts may use student wording in the same area.
3. Choose Add child or Add student.
4. Add a nickname or other short label, choose a preset avatar, and select the most useful grade or level.

Use a nickname, initials, or another non-identifying label where practical. Do not add a child's email address, exact date of birth, contact details, photo, diagnosis, or school record.

Finish the setup

During setup you can choose a practice path and decide whether Pico's AI help is available in the child's space. Both are optional. You can leave them off and return to them from your child’s or student’s dashboard later.

Open your child’s or student’s profile to find four areas:

• Overview shows the current setup and recent activity.
• What's next contains activities you selected and any active practice path.
• Results contains their saved activity history.
• Access & AI controls kid access and Pico's AI help.

Change a profile

Open your child’s or student’s profile and use the profile controls to update the display name, preset avatar, or level. If duplicate profiles exist, use the merge option carefully: merging moves the history into one profile and cannot be undone.

Deleting a profile ends its kid access. Existing results may remain in the adult account without the child’s or student’s profile label, so read the confirmation on screen before deleting.

What your child or student sees

When kid access is enabled, your child or student sees a limited child space. They can open activities selected for them, follow a practice path, or choose from the child-safe areas available to them. They cannot open billing, account settings, other profiles, or the adult library controls.
