How a child signs in

Kid access gives a learner a limited PicoBuddy space without creating an ordinary account for them. The adult account remains in control of the profile, access, AI setting, activities, and results.

Turn on kid access

1. Sign in with the adult account and open My Library.
2. Open Children, then open the learner's profile.
3. Open Access & AI.
4. Create the learner's login if it is not active yet.

You can then use one of these access methods.

Private link or QR code

Copy the private link to the learner's own device, or scan the QR code with that device. The link and QR code keep working until you reset the login.

Treat them like a key: share them only with the intended learner. For a group, use Print login cards from the Children area. Each card has the learner's avatar and QR code.

Six-digit pairing code

Choose the pairing-code option in Access & AI. On the learner's device:

1. Go to picobuddy.com/kids.
2. Enter the six-digit code.
3. Continue into the learner's space.

The code is single-use and expires after 15 minutes. Generate a new code if it expires. Printed login cards use the durable QR code, not a temporary pairing code.

Use the learner's own device

A browser can hold either the adult session or the child session. Opening a child login in the same browser signs the adult out of that browser; the adult account and its data are not deleted. Use the learner's device or a separate browser profile where possible.

Reset access

Reset the login from Access & AI if a link or QR code was shared with the wrong person, a device should no longer have access, or you want to issue a new key. Resetting immediately stops the old link, QR code, and signed-in child devices from working.

If sign-in does not work

• Check whether a six-digit code has expired or was already used.
• Create a new pairing code and enter it at picobuddy.com/kids.
• If a private link or QR code has been reset, share the new one.
• Ask the adult account holder to confirm that kid access is still active for the learner.

Kid access does not give the learner access to billing or adult account settings.
